Getting the best out of it

1. Wait for a properly dark room — any lamp left on washes the stars out.
2. Sit it about 1.5 to 2 metres from the surface you are projecting onto.
3. Twist the lens until the image is sharp — this is the step most people skip.
4. A plain, pale ceiling gives the best picture. Textured or dark surfaces eat the light.

How is it powered?

USB. A phone charger, laptop, power bank or a car USB socket all work.

How many slides come with it?

Three — a starry sky, a moon-and-galaxy scene and an underwater world. They swap out by hand.

Does it rotate on its own?

The head is manually adjustable through 360° so you can aim it anywhere. Set it where you want it and it stays there.

How big is the projection?

It depends on distance. At roughly 1.5–2 metres you cover most of a bedroom ceiling. Closer gives a smaller, brighter image; further gives a larger, dimmer one.

Will it work with the lights on?

No — and neither will any projector at this size. It needs a dark room, which is the point of it.
